Blue Star Foundation Statement on the Passing of K. Klein

Blue Star Tradition recognizes autonomous covens, where no coven, grove, or individual can speak for another.

The Blue Star Foundation has the mission to support and facilitate the practice of Blue Star Wicca. Keeping in mind the decentralized nature of the practice, we the board may only speak to our own action, as the outreach and charitable arm, of how we foster a culture of communication, trust, and honesty that we hope makes our tradition unpalatable to those who would do harm. Among other things, the Foundation has a commitment to help financially and logistically support tradition-wide gatherings that build relationships across groups and provide electronic member services to build bridges.

The event of the passing of Kenny Klein, who was convicted in 2017 of possession of child pornography, has occasioned the opportunity to address some concerns regarding the practice of Blue Star. The Foundation reaffirms its commitment to a culture that is against abuse in any shape or form.

Blue Star follows the principles of Balance, Trust, Tolerance, Reincarnation, Harmony, Humility, and Learning. The Blue Star Foundation serves people no matter their religious or cultural background, ancestral background, physical ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

May the gods preserve the craft.
